We wish to ensure that your child’s entry into school is as trouble free as possible. The following information should help things run smoothly:
The School Day runs from 8.55 AM to 3.15 PM.
Lunch in the Infants runs from 12 Noon to 1PM and in the Juniors from 12.20PM to 1.20PM.
We have two playgrounds one for the infants, one for juniors.
- When sending money to school - Please make payment for trips, swimming lessons etc via the parentpay.com website. If you require the login details, please contac the school office.
- Milk Under 5's are eligible for free milk, and after this point, milk may be ordered for your child from a company called ‘Cool Milk at School’ on www.coolmilk.com.
- Lunch Arrangements You may choose to order a school dinner or provide a packed lunch each day for your child. Please note that we are a healthy school, which means that we actively encourage healthy eating, so no fizzy drinks or sweets in lunch boxes please.
- School Meals From September 2014 the Government has introduced a scheme whereby all children from Reception to Year 2 will be provided with a free school lunch. If your child would like a school meal they will need to put their hand up during morning registration and their teacher will offer them a choice of three meals. You may prefer to send your child with a packed lunch. If so, please put your child’s name on lunchbox (and lid). If your child is in the juniors they will need a Parentpay account. www.parentpay.com. Please see the school office to discuss this further and arrange a login. We realise that not everyone has a computer at home. If this is the case you will need to make payments through PayPoint. Please come to the office and we will order you a payment card. There are PayPoint facilities at the Co-op in Rosebery Road, Newscentre in Silver Street, One Stop in Phillimore Road and Kayles News in Cam. If your child has any food allergies it is important to let us know, please speak to the class teacher or school office.
- Playtime snack All Infant children are provided with free fruit or vegetables at playtime. You may wish to provide your own fruit or vegetables for morning playtime, eg apples, raw carrot, raisins etc. particularly for any junior children.
- Illness notification It is very important that the school is notified of absence by telephone as soon as possible on the first day of absence.
Do let your child’s class Teacher or Teaching Assistant know if you have any concerns or questions. We will do our utmost to help you and your child.
