We now have a go fund me page, for anyone who would like to make an online donation to the school association:

https://www.gofundme.com/f/dursley-school-parents-association

The School Association would like to share with you this summary of how funds were generated and used last year. As you can see it was a challenging year, due to COVID19 and key events like the summer fair being cancelled. We would like to thank you for all your support, and encourage you to help your school association to raise funds for the school virtually during this next school year. All suggestions and support is very welcome.

Funding update

The school association would like to thank you for all your support during the 19/20 academic year, your fundraising is essential to giving the children a great all round experience at school, for example this year funds were needed for:

  • Music and science resources,
  • Whole class reading books benefitting children throughout the school,
  • A new shed and trike park for the reception class outside area,
  • Bookbags for the reception children,
  • A Christmas pantomime at the school,
  • A contribution to the leavers hoodies for the year 6 – who missed much of their final year and the chance to fundraise for their own hoodies

The School Says “School association has made a genuine impact in supporting school life this year, in both developing the curriculum and enriching school life. We are really really grateful for the support which makes  a very real difference.”

All parents, carers, teachers and friends of Dursley Primary School  are welcome to join our school association. Please contact schoolassociation@dursley.gloucs.sch.uk to join the mailing list, and please come along to the next (virtual) meeting to share future ideas for fundraising events as well as contribute to discussions on how the funds are spent.
